Warping challenge – How to untangle fine warp yarns

These photos, taken at Anna Champeney Estudio Textil today, show how using fine singles yarn as warp causes tangles as they are put on the loom.

The experienced weaver knows how to deal with tangles like this without breaking the fine threads –  creating order out of chaos.

The work can be very satisfying although to non-weavers it might look like a form of torture!
